Anyone lucky enough to own a Nintendo Wii probably knows that it has built-in wifi magic, not that any games seem to use it to much effect at present. However, Nintendo has just released the final "Internet Channel" into their Wii Shop Channel. This is basically the Opera web browser, meaning you can (slightly cumbersomely and at back-to-basics TV resolution) surf the web on your Wii should you choose to.
It's going to cost you 500 wii points. This is admittedly not too expensive if you actually want it (around £3.50ish perhaps?), but in true money-saving fashion if you hop across quickly and download it before the end of June then it is free. You do of course need to have your Wii hooked up to the internet via wifi or the various network adaptors to do this.
Not too sure how practical it is for general surfing, but anyway below is a youtube demo of what you can expect.
