Quick question for the readers: if the catastrophic events of "9/11" were as they have been told by the Government and media, who was the mastermind behind them?
Most people would likely come up with the name Osama Bin Laden. Certainly the rulers of the world and the mass media managed to. In fact, it was so much the definite and urgent case that the United States and its allies went to war with a whole country - Afghanistan - because their Government would not comply with US requests to hand over the guy. Five years on, the war still rages on as fierce as ever.
So it came as some surprise to one concerned citizen that whilst the FBI's most wanted page did list Bin Laden for various sick and evil terrorist crimes, there was no mention of the Twin Towers, the Pentagon et al.
This fact reached the hands of the Muckraker Report who felt the simplest way to find out the reason behind this strangely missing part of Bin Laden's criminal CV was to ring the FBI. Sound logic.
They spoke with Rex Tomb, chief of investigative publicity for the FBI and asked for the reason that 9/11 isn't attributed to Bin Laden on that page. The response? For once, rather candid:
"The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Osama Bin Laden's Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting bin Laden to 9/11."
In fact, "bin Laden has not been formally charged in connection to 9/11".
This should have shocked you, and its implications are extremely worrying. After all, the US administration certainly sowed the seed and along with the compliant mass media allowed everyone to understand the "fact" that Bin Laden was behind this, when even the Government's own investigative agency to this day does not make such a claim. A quote from Donald Rumsfeld, the Bush administration's Secretary of Defense illustrates the level of conveyed certainty the highest-of-the-high in the Bush administration gave for this claim: "There was no doubt of bin Laden's responsibility for the September 11 attacks". Apparently even the FBI - the people who actually do the investigating for the Government - don't quite see it that way.
Bin Laden hasn't been charged with the offence, let alone stood trial. "We" invaded a country because of this fact, and many, many people have surely suffered and died as a result of it. In his usual indomitable and excruciating old-Texas fashion, Cowboy Bush declared that Bin Laden needed catching "dead or alive" for something he may not have done.
This is not to say that Bin Laden is an innocent; his actual rap sheet shows that is far from likely, having committed other terrorist atrocities. Even his videos are propaganda with violent intent. He clearly needs to be caught, and if known to be guilty of other awful things, of course he must be punished. It is however unacceptable and dangerous for a "civilised" Government (and an apparently in-tow mass media system) to deceive its population and indeed go to war over something claiming as fact something which clearly is not.
