Time to laugh at some children

It being mother's day - and full sympathy to any mothers - it seems rather appropriate to laugh at the inane efforts of the younger of the world's population.

And look at that...c/o of B3TA and some other sources, here is a link to Photo Basement's 41 Hilarious Science Fair Experiments. And "hilarious" is a fair description.

Witness the "animal magnetism" of these kids, or even, controversially, their "extreme wood". Some of the (arguably?) more lunatic fringe of brainwashing schools seem to have maybe been represented with projects such as Valentinian "Roses are red, Violets are Blue, Some say creation, How about you?" and "Global Warming...Yeah Right!". "Ideal Pancreas" and "Juicy Beans" undergo investigation, and the answers to questions troubling humanity for eons such as "Who's your daddy?" and "What's my dog's favourite colour?" are researched like no researchers have ever done before. If only there was some sort of zoom function to actually read the findings.

The Poorhouse couldn't resist spoiling the surprise of, not so much the project, but the attire of this kid. Even the Poorhouse's legendary knitting skills could not come up with a woolly jumper quite this beautiful.

One commenter over at Photo Basement, home of this fine, fine collection, likened it only to Wil Wheaton's classic clown sweater.

One of the projects - "Plants and Pop" was clearly done by the very kid for whom the Can't Be Arsed acronym was inspired by. It is probably no co-incidence that plants and pop are two items that can generally be acquired within 2 minutes of entering a classroom, to say nothing of the crappiest display ever seen outside of a Poorhouse presentation.

This caused a memory-stir in the Poorhouse of possibly the funniest email forward ever received - "I am better than your kids". This work appears to have been originally created by thebestpageintheuniverse, but was so damn hilarious that literal ROFLing happened the first time the Poorhouse saw it even though it was in a text-only courier-fonted email, so clearly the rather highly visual aspect of the hilarity was absent. Little beats the description of the little fire-truck that just needed a shave.

Go view at your leisure, or risk missing out one of the more contemporary wonders of the world.
