Torturing Saddam

For anyone who's been wondering what's happened to Saddam Hussein, ex-dictator, torturer and all round evil-doer of Iraq, since he was purportedly captured, here's your answer.

He's been watching cartoons.

Not just any cartoon though. Rather it’s the South Park movie "Bigger, Longer and Uncut". US Marines who are making sure he doesn't escape his imprisonment have claimed to be making him watch the movie "repeatedly".

This particular feature length animation was presumably picked because it actually featured Saddam Hussein in it. The plot was a little "zany" but somewhere involved Saddam Hussein being the gay lover of the Devil as they lay in bed plotting the overthrow of the world together. Back in 1999 it was banned in Iraq for "portraying the leader as a homosexual." - that of course being the only offensive thing about it.

Matt Stone, one of the creators of the show, described the emotional impact such repeated viewings might have on Mr Hussein, saying "I bet that made him really happy".

Enjoy a little of the South Park Saddam and the Devil scene below. Warning: the video clip is extremely NSFW and also not that safe for people who have significant boundaries in what they would consider tasteful entertainment.
